Calgary Home Stager’s Favourite Hike

Blog by Elysse Bulloch | July 27th, 2016

All work and no play does not make for a happy life. So when I’m not busy at work as a Calgary property staging professional, I love to get outside and hike.Grassii Lakes Canmore I’ll share my favourite hike and some other tips for those of you who want to get outdoors and take advantage of Alberta’s natural beauty this summer.

I spend a lot of time in my car and one day, while I was listening to the radio, this CBC Homestretch discussion with Jamie Clarke on taking your family out for a hike caught my attention (audio is 7:40 minutes if you want to have a listen).

As an avid hiker, I thought I would share some of my own tips.

My favourite hike: Grassi Lakes in Canmore (I would rate this as an easy hike for beginners)

Second favourite hike: Johnston Canyon near Banff (all the way up to the ink pots). The ink pots make a great spot to have lunch before you make your way back down.

What’s on my personal hiking bucket list? York creek plane crash in Coleman Alberta.Grassii Lakes Canmore

And here’s my tip for what you should take with you on your favourite hike: Bear spray (because you just never know) and a hydration pack that is light to carry (this is an easy way to stay hydrated which is so important when you’re hiking).

So get outdoors and find your own favourite hike. I’d love to hear about it!

In the meantime, come see more behind the scenes glimpses of this Calgary stager’s life and find out a little more about me on Instagram @elysseb. I’ll chat with you there (but not while I’m out hiking!).
