Staging The Master Bedroom
Staging the master bedroom is an easy task since the furniture in the room is limited. It is important to put extra effort in the master as it is a selling feature.
Like any room the first steps are to clean, de clutter and de personalizes. The master bedroom should be neutral, calm and spacious with a hotel like feel. Remember people are touring your home to see how this house might let them live, not how you live. Most people are looking for a space that is bigger then where they current live. The goal when staging the master is to make it look as large as possible. Make sure to remove all items like TV’s, computers or exercise equipment.
Neutral color paint on the walls is always best, add splashes of color with accessories. I always suggest to my clients that the bedding should be white or a light neutral, since the bed is the biggest piece in the room your eye is natural drawn to it.
Don’t forget about
the closet, pre pack seasonal clothing or things you know you don’t need frequently.
It best to show the closet half full, so buyers can see their stuff fitting in
the space.
Don’t forget when staging the master bedroom, it needs to
appeal to both sexes.
